Jean-Marc Sauvé will deliver the keynote speech at the closing of the 12th Annual ESIL Conference. Mr Sauvé is one of the leading judges in Europe. He has been Vice President of the Council of State of France since 2006. In 2010, he became a member of the Panel provided for by Article 255 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, which was set up to provide opinions on the suitability of candidates to perform the duties of a Judge and Advocate-General at EU courts.
Jean-Marc Sauvé is also the president of the Conseil Supérieur of administrative tribunals and administrative courts of appeal as well as President of the Council of Administration at the “École nationale d’administration” (ENA).
In his lecture he will address various ongoing crises in Europe, such as the economic crisis, migration crisis, democratic legitimacy and the „Brexit” issue, among others.
