Christian J. Tams is Professor of International Law at the University of Glasgow, where he directs the Law School's LLM in international law. He is a German lawyer (qualified in 2005) and holds an LLM and PhD from the University of Cambridge. His current research focuses on dispute settlement, investment law and the legal rules governing recourse to force. Christian is an academic member of Matrix, London, and frequently advises States and other actors in proceedings before international courts and tribunals. He sits on the EJIL Scientific Advisory Board and is a member of the Young Academy of Scotland.
