Ignacio de la Rasilla del Moral, LLB (Complutense) MA and Ph.D. (The Graduate Institute, Geneva) LLM (Harvard), FHEA. Since joining Brunel Law School as a Lecturer in Law (tenured) in October 2012, Dr de la Rasilla has served as Visiting Research Fellow of the Lauterpacht Research Center of International Law at the University of Cambridge, as Visiting Research Fellow of the Max Planck Institute for European Legal History in Frankfurt, as Visiting Research Fellow of the Max Planck Institute for Public International Law in Heidelberg and as a Visiting Research Fellow of the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva. Before joining Brunel Law School, Dr De la Rasilla served as Post-Doctoral Max Weber Fellow in Law at the European University Institute, as a Lecturer of International Human Rights Law at New York University (NYU, La Pietra). Prior to this, he served as Harvard Law School’s Summer Academic Fellow, as Fellow in Global Governance, Law and Social Thought of the Watson Institute for International Studies at Brown University. Dr de la Rasilla has also held research positions with the Royal College Complutense at Harvard University and with both the European Law Research Center and the Institute for Global Law and Policy both at Harvard Law School. Between 2006 and 2007/2008, he was a doctoral fellow (International Law Section) of the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva. Ignacio is the founder of the interest groups on the history of international law of both the European Society of International Law in 2014 and of the Latin-American Society of International Law in 2016.
