On 11 July 2016 at 14:15 Riga Graduate School of Law (RGSL) is organizing an event entitled “Conversation with the Latvian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Edgars Rinkēvičs”. The event, moderated by RGSL Professor Ineta Ziemele with Radio Latvia journalist Aidis Tomsons, will cover the current European and global crisis and ask whether international agreements are sufficient to deal with the situation.

The 12th Annual ESIL Conference will take place in Riga, Latvia, on 8 - 10 September 2016. The Conference is hosted by the Riga Graduate School of Law in cooperation with the Latvian Constitutional Court, the Latvian Ministry of Justice and the Latvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Some 300 European and international researchers, lawyers, judges and other experts will discuss questions related to the topic: How International Law Works in Times of Crisis. The conversation will mark the current events for the conference.

Participants in the event will have a chance to ask questions and take part in discussion.
